^

Anteroposterior Deviations

This condition is where there’s a discrepancy between a pair of closed jaws, such as an overbite or an underbite.

Overcrowding

When there’s insufficient space for teeth to grow, it can be problematic for the normal development of adult teeth.
“My girls love going here and seeing Dr. Andrew and the team. He is doing a great job with my daughter’s braces, even though she is a hard case. I couldn’t ask for a better dentist for my two girls.”
– Michelle

Phase I

Orthodontics

This treatment is done before all permanent teeth have erupted, occurring between ages 6 and 10. This is usually recommended when there’s a moderate or severe issue that should be taken care of immediately. The main goal of this treatment is to correct overcrowding by making room for permanent teeth to erupt. Treatment time is between 9-18 months, after which the patient will wear retainers with subsequent appointments scheduled for every 4-6 months until the permanent teeth erupt. At this point, we will recommend Phase II.

Phase II

Orthodontics

This stage in the process will position the permanent teeth to maximize their function and appearance. Using full braces, this process will last between 12 and 18 months. Due to improvements made in Phase I treatment, patients will spend less time in full braces with fewer rubber bands and will not be required to wear headgear.

Myofunctional Therapy

The Myobrace®System is preventive pre-orthodontic treatment that focuses on establishing nasal breathing, correct tongue resting position, and correct swallowing.

Unlocking natural growth and development by using Myobrace can help correct poor oral habits, develop and align the jaws, optimize facial development, and improve overall health.

Treatment is best suited to children aged 3 to 15 and involves using a series of removable intra-oral appliances that are worn for 1-2 hours each day plus overnight while sleeping.
